Gone fishing

So, I've been working at the same job for the last 6 1/2 years and I think it's high time that I sucumb to my natural wanderlust and desert my flatmate in her hour of need (she's getting married in April - what would you do?). The plan to date is to hand in my notice and travel around south east Asia and Australia for a while before returning to good olde blighty. Or maybe I'll just go fishing...

Last Day at work

I've done my exit interview, handed back my company credit card *sob* and mobile phone and I'm just typing this up on my laptop before I have to hand this back as well.

It's funny. I thought I would be more cut up about this than I am but I'm not! I've been through thick and thin with this company and I guess the reality of leaving them hasn't sunk in yet. In many ways I'm sad to go, I've had some very good times and like every where else, I've had some pretty rubbish times. Oh well. Life goes on doesn't it, we can't stay in the same place forever, we must move on.

So for now, and for the next month, I'm unemployed and FREE!
.

I've got tomorrow off to pack my bags before I fly out to Singapore on Saturday morning then on to Kuala Lumpur the next day. It's going to be a very long flight (in the wrong direction) but I can't wait.

Next stop: Singapore

Hope you have a wonderful time jetsetting, meeting relatives and generally lazing around (watch out for the American teenagers!). Don't be too sad about leaving . . . just keep remembering you're free.

Love Kate x
